A stunning pair of statement drop stud earrings made from oxidised recycled silver with 24 carat gold kuem boo detailing.
These luscious earrings are perfect if you're looking for something a bit more special. They are made from sterling silver, which has been oxidised to give the deep mat black colour, which contrasts so beautifully with the shimmering gold petal drop.
The gold is added through an ancient Korean process called kuem boo, where 24 carat gold foil is bonded to the silver using heat. This layer of gold is much thicker than plating or vermeil, and is pemanently fused to the silver.
They are part of my zero waste collection - making use of my otherwise unusable silver offcuts. I melt down and reform them with hammering, rolling and heating to achieve the textured organic feel. It is a physical process and I love the final, timeless effect that looks like they could have been around for centuries.
Measuring 3.5cm from the top of the stud to bottom of the drop, these are lovely mid sized earrings and will come presented in a recycled soft grey box with gold foil stamped logo - perfect for gifting.

I make every effort to ship items as quickly as possible. If you need something in a rush or by a certain date please let me know and I will make your order a priority. You will receive an email with your tracking number once your order has been shipped.
I am a one woman business and mum working part time so typically:
~ If I have something in stock I aim to ship it within 1 day of receiving an order
~ If I don't have it in stock and need to make your item I aim to make and post it within 5 days, often much sooner.
~ If it is a custom piece such as a ring made to size it may need hallmarking which can take longer - I will contact you to advise on a delivery date, but I aim to complete these in around 2 weeks.
