I'm a bit late in writing this month; a combination of things - holidays (other peoples), boiler services (mine) and an Arts Trail weekend - meant we haven't managed to get together for our usual monthly business meet. So I'm sad to say that I'm not, as I'd like to be, sat with a coffee at the local cafe, but in the studio surrounded by my usual crafty clutter.
This month I thought I'd share with you my newest collection which I launched at
The Handmade Fair at Ragley Hall in May.
It was a lovely event, gathering together thousands of creative professionals and enthusiasts. I even caught a glimpse of Kirsty Allsop herself....at a distance! Anyway, it's been a while in the making, but it's finally here - my 'Tassel Globes' collection....
A satisfyingly weighty brass globe hangs on the end of a long, fine brass chain, all topped off with a handmade pink or yellow tassel. Then my favourite part - when you pull apart the two halves of the globe, you get a hidden colour pop of bright turquoise and white. I love secret elements like this, a bit like the colourful lining to a handbag, or hidden pocket on the inside of a jacket. It's a little thing that only you know, unless you choose to tell!
Also included in the collection are drop earrings on lovely little gold filled French ear wires, and teeny colour dot studs for every day wear - I love the tiny flash of shiny brass on the edges of these.
This is the first of a few collections I've been working on, and I hope to be releasing more very soon. You can buy the Tassel Globe range in my online shop, and at events throughout the year.
In the mean time, here's a cheesy hello and goodbye from me and my lovely, crazy studio buddies at this weekends Easton Arts Trail. Until next month.....byyyeeeeeee!!
